About Us
We believe that choosing an environmentally friendly alternative, such as bamboo, shouldn't mean compromising quality, function or style. So we have sourced products worldwide that allow you to embrace sustainability...with style.
Since the rise in popularity of bamboo products, there are many, many companies and brands out there with inferior products - they've compromised everything we stand for - quality, function and style - for a quick buck.
It is our mission to find and bring to you the best of the best bamboo products. Every product featured on this website has been thoroughly reviewed and tested for quality, style and function and we continue to use (and rave about!) these products in our own homes.
We sincerely hope you enjoy these products as much as we do - and visit us regularly to check out new and exciting bamboo products sourced from around the world.
Environmental Organisations We Support
We are a proud member of 1% For The Planet - a growing global movement of over 1,400 member companies in more than 40 countries from different industries that donate 1% of their sales to environmental organisations worldwide.
The 1% FTP community knows that it has a role in changing the environment:
- All members actively work towards making our planet sustainable for the future by supporting the environmental cause of their choice.
- Members can choose from among 2,900 non-profit environmental organisations.
- All of these organisations are individually checked to confirm their purpose (if it is aligned with the community’s own purpose), their credibility and whether they each have an excellent track record of implementing effective environmental programs.
- Members of 1% FTP get in touch and communicate with these non-profits themselves and this direct involvement gives each of them the chance to personally initiate change.
1% Members, Keeping Earth in Business
The 1% community understands that for them to stay in business they have to “keep Earth in business” as well. Since the initiative’s launch in 2002, more of our mountains, forests, deserts, lowlands, oceans, rivers and lakes have been receiving the protection and nourishment they need every day.
As of 2012, members have contributed over $70 million to various environmental groups. As a network, the 1% community has become a global frontrunner in funding the work of environmental groups around the world.
Every time you shop with a 1% FTP member you can be assured that 1% of the money you spend goes toward saving the environment.
